Teach a Man to Fish or Scroll?

Words Worth Thinking About

Perhaps you are worrying about people who are hungry and are wondering what you can do about it.

If that’s the case, think about this statement and see if it makes you feel better.

“Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day.
Teach a person to use the internet and they won’t
bother you for weeks, months, maybe years.”
From Robert Malone’s Substack

Even though it is a funny statement, hopefully it doesn’t make you feel better.

Because the truth is, our culture often substitutes internet distractions for real solutions. As long as we get clicks and likes, we’re content to stay absorbed in the “world” of social media, while real needs go unmet and our souls remain starved.

Are we feeding people’s bodies and souls—or only their craving for digital attention?

Instead of clicks and likes, what if we invested in lives—feeding the hungry, comforting the lonely, and nourishing souls with truth?
