A Child is Born

Words Worth Thinking About

About 700 years before the birth of Jesus, the prophet Isaiah foretold the coming of the Messiah.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6 (ESV)

As we enter the Christmas season, let us remember that this prophecy was not just a poetic hope but a divine promise fulfilled in the birth of Jesus. In a world filled with uncertainty, the arrival of Christ brings the peace, wisdom, and everlasting hope we all long for.

This Christmas, take a moment to consider that God has made it abundantly clear through the prophets, the scriptures, and the life of Jesus that He is indeed the promised Messiah. May we embrace the true gift of Christmas: a Savior who came to dwell among us and bring light to a world in darkness.
