So Simple Even a Congressman Could Understand It

Words worth thinking about

Members of Congress don’t come off well in this quote, but it’s a well-deserved critique.

The country is over $34 trillion in debt and Congress keeps approving omnibus spending bills despite not having the money. The U.S. national debt increases by about $1 trillion every 100 days.

“The problem is so simple even a Congressman could understand it. The feds spend too much money. The difference between what they get in tax revenues and what they spend in boondoggles, bombs, and patent medicines must be covered either by borrowing or ‘printing’ money.”
