This quote is often attributed to Mark Twain, but I couldn’t find any evidence that he wrote or spoke those words. Regardless of who actually said those words, they reflect the polarized society we live in today.

If you have tried to talk about issues such as evoluation, climate change, abortion, vaccinations, or transgenderism, you will quickly learn that many people will refuse to listen to facts (i.e. truth) but only want to hear what they believe.
If you hold a view different than theirs, they will either attack you personally or flee from your presence.
Such responses make it difficult to have an intelligent discussion.
