Kinda Sorta Truth

Words Worth Thinking About

Truth is in short supply in our world today.

If you’re one of those who gets their “truth” from news outlets or politicians or social media, you probably have to redefine or ignore the past because reality gets in the way of the “truth” you want to believe.

How Many Times Do You Need to Be Lied To?

How many times do you have to be lied to before you realize your source for truth may not be trustworthy?

Once?

Five times?

A hundred times?

Or are you content to accept what kinda, sorta, maybe sounds like truth, because it supports something you want to believe?

Five years ago, in 2020, if you watched news outlets describe the “mostly peaceful protests” that left large portions of cities engulfed in flames and caused $1billion - $2billion dollars in insured property damages, and you still watch those news outlets today … then you have to admit you are willing to accept “kinda, sorta truth.”

Hopefully, you are not beyond help.

A couple of hundred years ago, the preacher George Whitefield shared his view of truth:

"... whatever is less than truth, cannot be truth; and whatever is more than true must be false."
George Whitefield

Your goal should be to find out truth.

Don’t settle for “kinda, sorta” truth.
